Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Material Handler in the Paint Department to load quality material onto the paint line and report to the Paint Department Manager. This role emphasizes attention to detail as a vital part of the Paint Department and offers a path to grow with an industry leader.

Responsibilities include material handling, defect scrapping, color and quality checks, and supporting efficient production through accurate loading and transport to staging areas.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and effective communication with coworkers.
• Ability to distinguish the full color spectrum.
• Identify metal quality related to finish or metal itself.
• Ability to read prints or drawings.
• Perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Follow verbal and basic written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Push buggies of material from pretreatment to paint line.
• Identify defective material and scrap it after tagging.
• Inspect metal for quality, order number, counts, and color.
• Load metal onto paint line based on exposure and hanger bars.
• Unload painted metal and transport to staging area.
