Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay is seeking a Paint Foreman for the Paint Department on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:30am–4:00pm).

The Foreman will lead the paint team, coordinate surface preparation, coating application, and quality control on new ships, renovations, and repairs, and supervise up to 30 employees on site.

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is hiring for a Paint Foreman in the Paint Department at our Sturgeon Bay location. This is a 1st shift role, Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 4:00pm.

Position Summary

The Paint Foreman is responsible for coordinating paint department activities related to new ship construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance projects. The Paint Foreman will provide on-site direction by monitoring work progress, offering guidance, promoting accountability, ensuring quality standards, and meeting project deadlines. This is a leadership position with direct management of up to 30 employees.

Domestic travel may be required.

Essential Functions

• Read and interpret shipbuilding drawings, coating specifications, work packages, paint schedules, and engineering requirements to determine material needs and work sequences
• Plan and oversee surface preparation, abrasive blasting, coating application, touch-up, and preservation activities for shipboard structures, tanks, compartments, and equipment
• Coordinate workforce assignments, monitor production schedules, and ensure painting and coating work is completed in accordance with quality, safety, environmental, and project requirements
• Plan activities and overtime as needed to meet project demands
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends, and other duties assigned
