Job summary

Rocky’s Ace Hardware is seeking a Paint Department Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, assess needs, and close sales while maintaining in‑stock inventory and department cleanliness. You will advise customers on paint types, finishes, tools, and decorating options, and support store teams to meet demand.

Ideal candidates have retail experience, basic math and computer skills, and a willingness to learn product knowledge across paint finishes and accessories.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret documents; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Should be able to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic concepts of math.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems and electronic cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Provide amazing, fast sales service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Greet, qualify, recommend and close sales for customers in the paint department.
• Troubleshoot customer issues/problems that may arise.
• Maintain the in-stock position of the paint department and keep it clean and shopable.
• Drive the B2B paint business and cooperate with store management and other departments.
