Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Operations Supervisor - Paint at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. You will oversee daily blasting, painting and hull coating operations, coordinating a crew to meet safety, quality and schedule goals.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor staff, manage shift schedules and drive continuous process improvements in a nuclear submarine production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to work all assigned shifts and extended hours as needed.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily assignments for blasting, painting, and hull coatings to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Organize and assign work to hourly employees to ensure efficient production.
• Mentor and motivate crew; set and measure daily production goals; hold team accountable.
• Maintain safe work practices and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Communicate effectively with subordinates and supervisors.
