Job summary

RPM Industrial Coatings Group is seeking a batch-maker/production technician for our Hudson, NC facility. This role involves preparing intermediates and finished products by following batch tickets, weighing solvents, resins, pigments, and additives, and operating blending or grinding equipment.

Responsibilities include monitoring time and temperature, taking QC samples, comparing batches to standards, and recording results. Training and safety compliance are emphasized in day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong math/measurement skills required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Must achieve required color testing score.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and/or measure solvents, resins, pigments or dispersions per batch ticket.
• Tend mixing or grinding equipment; control time, heat, and mix speed.
• Take product samples to QC Lab for checks.
• Check production batches against standards and make adjustments as needed.
• Recheck batches after adjustments until within spec.
• Record results on batch cards and input data into the system.
• Calibrate QC equipment as required.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area.
