Job summary

RPM Industrial Coatings Group in Hudson, NC is seeking Batch Makers/Mixer Techs to join our in-person team. This full-time role involves blending chemicals, resins, and nitrocellulose to produce lacquers, sealers, and thinners used in the furniture industry, and tinting to QA standards.

You will measure inputs, tint colors, and deliver products to QA Lab for QC, while keeping the work area clean and organized. The position offers a starting pay of $17.50 per hour with benefits listed below.

Qualifications

• 3 years manufacturing experience preferred
• Mixing/batch making experience preferred
• Ability to read formula sheets and QA specs

Responsibilities

• Measure and weigh specified quantities of solvent and dry resins into blending tank according to formula sheet
• Match colors to QA Lab standards by tinting products as directed
• Take products to QA Lab for QC checks and make final adjustments; maintain a neat, orderly work area

General Summary

Mixes chemicals, dry resins and nitrocellulose in the process of making lacquer’s, sealers and thinners used in the furniture industry.

Mixes different colors and bases in several different resin systems and tint them to match color standards provided by QA Lab.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Measure and weigh specified quantities of solvent and dry resins into proper blending tank according to formula sheet


• Match colors to standards provided by QA Lab by tinting products with tint colors specified on formula sheet


• Take products to QA Lab for QC checks and make final adjustments. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion
