Job summary

Luminescent Systems, a division of Astronics Corporation, is hiring for a hands-on production role in East Aurora, NY. You’ll join a clean, climate-controlled facility and help build aerospace electronics components, painting and finishing with careful attention to detail.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Use airbrushes, HVLP spray guns, screening tables, gun washing equipment, paint booths, measuring equipment and ovens.
  • Perform spraying of coatings on various panels and components.
  • Perform screening on panels, metal, and GDLS.
  • Balance INCN and EL panels, Avionics product, and GDLS.
  • Perform sanding and flipping tasks as required.
  • Follow blueprints and work instructions to maintain high quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to keep production moving and contribute to improvements.

What You’ll Do

Bring your hands‑on skills and a great attitude to help us build the best in aerospace manufacturing. Whether you have prior production experience or are eager to get started, you’ll be trained to:

  • Use airbrushes, HVLP spray guns, screening tables, gun washing equipment, paint booths, measuring equipment and ovens
  • Perform spraying of clear coat, paint on fronts and backs, paint for finals, paint I, paint on Avionics, paint on GDLS
  • Perform screening on panels, metal, and GDLS
  • Balance INCN and EL panels, Avionics product, and GDLS
  • Perform all sanding and flipping tasks
  • Follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to ensure high-quality production
  • Work with a collaborative team to solve problems and keep production moving
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and help streamline processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Great attention to detail, willingness to learn, follow instructions, and be part of a team
  • Use basic computer systems and software to track production, document work completed, and follow up on tasks as needed
  • Previous manufacturing or paint experience is helpful but not required

Compensation

$19.00-25.00/hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
