Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Nampa, Idaho, is hiring two Medical Assistants for the Pain Management and Spine clinic near Nampa Medical Center. You will support a physician and APP in a high-volume clinic, performing MA duties, patient education, and pre-authorization tasks.

The role is hospital-based with a mix of clinical and admin days. Ideal candidates show compassion for patient care, are self-driven, highly organized, dependable, and team players.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification required within 90 days from hire from approved agencies listed.
• New Graduates: MA certificate of completion plus externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu.
• Experience: 1 year MA experience OR current MA Certification OR renewal within 90 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect medical history, collect urine tox screens, and patient education.
• Chart prep, referral review, prior authorizations, schedule procedures, respond to MyChart messages.
• Cross-train with front office staff.
• Position located in hospital; on your feet at least two days a week; two days admin.
