Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID seeks a Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced pain and spine clinic. You will perform standard MA duties and contribute to patient education, history taking, and care coordination.

This role requires MA certification within 90 days, BLS at hire, and a compassionate, organized team player committed to high-quality patient outcomes in a hospital-based setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification within 90 days from approved agencies listed.
• New graduates: externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect medical history and urine tox screens.
• Chart prep, referral review, prior authorizations, and patient education.
• Schedule procedures and respond to MyChart messages from patients.
• Cross train with front office staff.
