Qualifications

• MA RN License
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
• ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
• Experience working at a teaching hospital and/or specialty area expertise

Responsibilities

• Integrates nursing interventions into the interprofessional plan of care, incorporating appropriate standards of care and practice and patient outcomes
• Implements safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures and standards, and interventions as noted on the interprofessional plan of care
• Sets priorities adapting to changing patient and unit/clinic situations; initiates action to reduce or correct risk
• Assumes responsibility for effectively managing nursing care of individual patients/families as a team member
• Documents the nursing process to reflect a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient and family care
• Evaluates patient responses to care and consults with Medical Staff and Spine Center Team regarding variances and plan changes
• Identifies learning needs of patients/families and teaches by adapting information for individualized learning
