Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse – Pain Management for an on-site, per diem role in Austell, GA, to support elective orthopedic procedures in a high-acuity environment. You will coordinate cases with surgeons and OR staff, maintain documentation, uphold safety protocols, and provide patient care with calm professionalism.

Ideal candidates hold GA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and OR nursing experience; competitive hourly rate plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN license in the State of Georgia (or eligible to obtain)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience
• Experience in critical care, telemetry, or emergency room settings is a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of surgical cases between surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR support staff
• Facilitate smooth patient flow and case turnover in the operating room
• Manage assigned OR cases, ensuring efficiency and proactive communication around scheduling or procedural changes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold OR safety protocols
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in high-pressure situations while prioritizing patient care and comfort
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams and patients
• Stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing needs quickly
• Are highly organized with strong time management skills
• Practice professionalism and discretion at all times
