Job summary

Pain Specialists of America is seeking a Registered Nurse to support our Texas-based, multisite pain management practice. The RN will assist physicians before, during, and after interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficient care across our Ambulatory Surgical Center in South Austin.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, quick thinkers with strong attention to procedure and policy adherence, and have current Texas RN licensure with BLS and ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas Board of Nurse Examiners registration.
• BLS certification on file or current.
• ACLS certification or within six months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in hospital or ASC.

Responsibilities

• Ensures physician orders are followed for all patients.
• Provides focused patient care with accurate recording of medications and treatments.
• Post-anesthesia nursing: assess patient condition and document vital data.
• Monitor patient progress and revise Care Plan as needed.
• Report observations to physician, anesthesiologist and/or CRNA.
• Maintain center drugs, supplies, and proper disposal procedures.

Skills

1 year nursing experience

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

Current Texas RN license

BLS certification

ACLS certification or within 6 months
