Job summary

The Center for Pain in Atmore, AL is seeking a Procedure Room Technician to prepare patients for pain management procedures, assist during procedures, and maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

You will monitor patients, document details, ensure sterilization, educate patients post-procedure, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy when addressing patient inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and explain steps.
• Assist during epidural injections, nerve blocks, and spinal trials.
• Set up and maintain procedure room equipment.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to distress.
• Document patient information and procedure details.
• Maintain sterile environment and infection control.
• Provide post-procedure instructions to patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff.
• Comply with HIPAA and safety standards.
• Pursue continuing education in pain management.
