Essential Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive consultations, histories, physical examinations, diagnostic assessments, and follow-up visits for spinal, musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and other pain conditions.

- Develop evidence-informed treatment plans with measurable goals for pain relief, physical function, and daily activities; reassess outcomes and adjust care as needed.
- Perform appropriate interventional procedures within verified competency and approved privileges, which may include epidural steroid injections, facet and medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, peripheral nerve blocks, and joint or trigger point injections.
- Use fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance when indicated. Perform advanced interventions, including spinal cord stimulation trials or implants, only when trained, credentialed, and supported by the facility.
- Explain treatment alternatives, expected benefits, and risks; obtain and document informed consent. Follow procedure verification, infection prevention, radiation safety, and post-procedure monitoring protocols.

- Recognize and manage procedure complications and urgent clinical concerns; ensure appropriate emergency response, transfer, and follow-up arrangements.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the clinical professionals assigned to the clinic, including physician assistants, advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNPs), and medical assistants, regarding their pain management clinical duties and responsibilities, within each professional’s authorized scope of practice and applicable supervision requirements.

- Active, unrestricted Florida MD license in good standing, maintained throughout employment.
- Maintain board certification in Pain Medicine or equivalent at all times throughout employment, valid in the State of Florida; documented expertise in interventional pain management. Board eligibility alone does not satisfy this requirement.
- Hold and maintain an unrestricted, current DEA registration covering controlled substance Schedules II through V (C II through C V); meet payer credentialing and applicable facility privileging requirements.
- Demonstrated competency in the interventional procedures assigned, patient selection, image guidance, and management of procedure complications.
- Current BLS certification and ACLS when required by procedure, sedation, or facility protocols.
- Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, timely EHR documentation, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
