Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join our Pain Management team in Yuba City, California. The APC will collaborate with a Pain Management physician to deliver evidence-based, outpatient care focused on evaluation, treatment planning, follow-up, and patient education.

The position offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with opportunities to perform clinic-based procedures and contribute to access and quality initiatives in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active CA NP license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certification (AANP or ANCC) is preferred per requirements.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset.

Join an established practice dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. The APC will work collaboratively with a board-certified Pain Management physician to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

The APC will provide care for patients with a variety of pain-related conditions, including:

• Chronic neck and back pain




• Musculoskeletal pain syndromes




• Neuropathic pain conditions




• Spine-related disorders




• Complex chronic pain management

Duties include:

• New and return patient evaluations




• Ongoing management of chronic pain patients




• Pre- and post-procedure visits




• Medication management and monitoring




• Patient education and care coordination




• Development of treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician




• Participation in quality and access improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program




• Active (or ability to obtain) CA NP license




• Board certification (AANP, ANCC)




• GI experience preferred, but motivated candidates with strong internal medicine or specialty backgrounds will be considered




• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
