Job summary

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) in Yuba City, California is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pain Management team. Work with a board-certified Pain Management physician in an outpatient setting to improve quality of life for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active CA NP or PA license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
• GI experience preferred, but motivated candidates with strong internal medicine or related backgrounds will be considered.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• New and return patient evaluations.
• Ongoing management of chronic pain patients.
• Pre- and post-procedure visits.
• Medication management and monitoring.

The APC will work collaboratively with a board-certified Pain Management physician to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

The APC will provide care for patients with a variety of pain-related conditions, including:

• Chronic neck and back pain
• Musculoskeletal pain syndromes
• Neuropathic pain conditions
• Spine-related disorders
• Complex chronic pain management
