Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for pain management at the Crystal Lake locations. The role combines outpatient oversight with inpatient rounding, collaborating with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive pain care.

Candidates must hold an APRN license or equivalent, board certification, and DEA registration. The schedule includes regular weekday hours with one Saturday monthly and rotating call.

Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification required: Active RN and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP or other APRN licenses
• Active national board certification in area of clinical practice
• Active DEA registration prior to hire
• For Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire
• Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire
• Education required: Master’s Degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in hospital rounding as part of the care continuum
• Provide patient education and promote long-term pain management strategies
