Job summary

EXPRESS PAIN AND URGENT CARE PLLC is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant Scribe to support physicians in pain management. You will document encounters in real time, assist with orders, and ensure accurate charting for quality patient care.

This full-time role requires traveling between Epic Pain Management locations in the San Antonio area based on schedules and needs. Reliable transportation, EMR proficiency, and strong clinical documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous pain management experience is required (pain practice).
• Medical scribe or provider-scribing experience strongly preferred.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medications, and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to physicians, NPs, and PAs during daily patient visits.
• Scribe patient encounters in the EMR in real time and document findings accurately.
• Prepare orders and ensure the chart reflects the provider's assessment and plan.
• Assist with imaging reviews, UDS, PMP reviews, and pre-/post-procedure support.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accurate documentation throughout encounters.
