Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a certified Medical Assistant for the Pain Management Center. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and involves direct patient care, lab tasks, and documentation in the Meditech system.

You will greet patients, obtain vital signs, assist in exams, educate patients, and perform basic lab work under supervision, with adherence to safety and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program and CMA certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to complete Broadlawns pharmacology requirements prior to independent care.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (Health Care Provider) or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms for provider visits.
• Document subjective data and vital signs in the Meditech system.
• Assist health care team during exams and procedures.
• Educate patients and provide handouts appropriate to age and needs.
• Administer medications or treatments per provider order and ensure safety.
• Perform lab tests and maintain quality controls and logs.
