Job summary

Rutgers University–Newark (NJMS) seeks an anesthesiologist with pain management training for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position. You will provide outpatient care at the Comprehensive Pain Center and on-site anesthesia services at University Hospital, including procedures at the Pain Procedural Suite.

You will teach students, residents, and fellows intra-operatively, in clinic, and in didactic sessions.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants must: 1. Have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2. Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Jersey, and 3. Be a BC/BE Anesthesiologist and in Pain Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care at the Comprehensive Pain Center and on-site anesthesia services to adult patients at University Hospital.
• Perform procedures at the Pain Procedural Suite and participate in operative cases in the Main OR and DOC as appropriate.
• Teach students, residents, and fellows intra-operatively, in clinic, and during didactic sessions.
• Potential to become involved in the pain fellowship program as Associate Director; engage in faculty development and research.
