Job summary

East Carolina Pain Consultants (ECPC) in Goldsboro, NC seeks a full-time Medical Assistant (MA/CMA/RMA) to support clinicians in a busy interventional pain clinic. Responsibilities include patient check-in, assisting with procedures, and administrative tasks in EMR.

Candidates should be certified or registered, with high school diploma and preferably two years of medical assisting experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR proficiency required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take vitals.
• Prepare/clean up procedure rooms.
• Assist physicians with a wide variety of procedures.
• Fax notes to other practices.
• Document patient notes in EMR (eClinicalWorks).
• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures.
• Assist with front desk processes when needed.
• Assist with the C-arm.
• Handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
