Evolution Physical Therapy & Fitness is offering a Winter 2026–2027 Paid Sports Performance Internship in Stamford, CT. This hands-on program provides aspiring coaches with direct mentorship under Michael Statuti, Director of Performance, within an integrated physical therapy and human performance setting.

Formación

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Science, Athletic Training, or a related field.
• Experience participating in or coaching athletics, resistance training, or strength and conditioning.
• Strong interest in collegiate, professional, or private-sector strength and conditioning.
• Knowledge of exercise technique, anatomy, biomechanics, and training principles.
• Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Pursuing or holding NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa-SCCC, USAW, NASM or related credentials preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in implementing and supervising individualized and group strength and conditioning programs.
• Participate directly in sessions for high school and academy teams and travel baseball.
• Assist with team-based training to develop strength, speed, power, agility, and performance.
• Engage in coaching sessions for acceleration, velocity, direction change, plyometrics, and sport prep.
• Assist with athlete evaluations, performance assessments, and monitoring.
• Use performance technology and data (VALD, Catapult, Vitruve, TeamBuildr) for programming decisions.
• Support periodized training programs for youth through professional athletes.
• Collaborate with therapists on rehab-to-performance transitions and return-to-sport planning.
• Assist with facility prep, equipment organization, and daily operations.
