Job summary

The Minnesota Star Tribune offers a 10-week summer visual producer internship at our Minneapolis headquarters. We seek talented college juniors, seniors and graduate students with strong news sense and visual acumen.

Interns are paid $21.25/hour and can apply for apprentice positions after completion. Interns should have some still photography/video editing experience, familiarity with Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, and ideally Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere.

Qualifications

• College students (juniors/seniors/graduate) sought for visual producer internship.
• Some still photography and video editing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Photo Mechanic; knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce daily news, sports and features galleries.
• Coordinate assignments with picture editors and photographers.
• Promote content on social media across platforms.
• Generate story ideas for the photo/video staff.
• Demonstrate professional conduct in a newsroom environment.
