Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in Houston, TX is offering a paid Supply Chain Internship Program designed to develop emerging talent through hands-on exposure to end-to-end materials flow in a manufacturing environment.

Interns will collaborate with planning, purchasing, production, logistics, and quality to ensure on-time delivery, optimize inventory, analyze KPI dashboards, and contribute to continuous improvement with mentorship and potential pathways to leadership development programs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or Industrial Systems Engineering or related fields; preferrable junior class status.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership desire and experience demonstrated through roles in class, student organizations, work or internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, and experience using Power BI & database reporting software.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and instructions regarding the scope of assignments and determine priority. Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprises principles and practices
• Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
• Geographic mobility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with various Parker teams, including customer service, engineering, accounting, quality, and marketing to support cross-functional initiatives.
• Observing work assignments performed by others and actively participating in hands-on projects and/or special assignments.
• Maintaining communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
• Prepare and analyze timely reports summarizing business activities and project statuses to support informed decision-making.
• Prioritize tasks effectively, meet commitments, and take proactive ownership of challenges while providing excellent customer service.
• Attend related training and apply it in work assignments.
