Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a Procurement Intern to support purchasing activities in our Nebraska operations. The role involves handling requisitions, creating purchase orders, and expediting deliveries while ensuring supplier quality and cost targets.

The position is a part-time internship during the school year (20–30 hours) and full-time in the summer, with flexibility around class commitments.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to work a minimum of 20-30 hours per week during the school year and full time during the summer months.
• Currently in their Sophomore year or greater and pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Processes material requisitions, completes purchase orders, and forwards to supervisor for approval following departmental procedures.
• Expedites purchase orders, securing required delivery dates and quantities.
• Interviews vendors and investigates sources of supply consistent with lowest cost and acceptable quality standards.
• Maintains good relationships with all vendor companies and their representatives.
• Negotiates with appropriate vendors for the return and/or replacement of rejected materials.
• Orders raw materials and filters as requested by Production Control department.
• Keeps Director - Purchasing informed of new materials and supplies which may be applicable to subsidiary operations.
