Job summary

Cerity Partners is seeking students for a paid summer internship with the Wealth Management team for 2027. The program runs 30-40 hours per week and provides real-world experience in a collaborative, people-first environment.

Interns will shadow advisors, utilize CRM and financial planning software, and have the opportunity to earn e-Money Certification. This role offers exposure to the full financial planning lifecycle and the chance to contribute to discretionary portfolios.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum 3.2 GPA
• Majoring in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or related business degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Active campus involvement or work experience preferred
• Identify with Cerity Partners’ mission and values

Responsibilities

• Shadow and participate in client presentations
• Use CRM and financial planning software
• Assist financial advisors with preparing documents and performance reports
• Support the full financial planning process from discovery to ongoing reviews
• Help design and maintain discretionary investment portfolios
• Learn basic and advanced income tax planning strategies
• Conduct independent research and build financial planning spreadsheets
• Collaborate with team virtually on planning projects
• Other duties as assigned
