Job summary

Textron Systems is offering a 10-week, paid IT internship in Hunt Valley, MD. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real IT projects alongside experienced professionals, with mentorship and structured training to build your skills.

The role supports IT teams including Business Partner, Infrastructure, Development, and Cyber Security, and requires pursuing a BS in Computer Science or MIS with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar degree.
• Passion for Information Technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Resourceful/problem-solver.
• Deals well with ambiguity and can adapt quickly to change.
• Basic personal computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project).
• Ability to work full-time in-office during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support the Information Technology team with ongoing and/or new projects.
• Support IT Business Partner, IT Infrastructure Analyst, IT Development, or IT Cyber Security teams.
• Work on assigned projects, including research, documentation, development, coordination, and decision making.
• Follow Project Management guidelines to minimize disruption and improve end user experience.
• Develop, maintain, and advance the nuts and bolts of the design-build-deliver pipeline.
• Identify repeated tasks as candidates for process automation and work across IT teams to implement.
• Promote teamwork by sharing knowledge and participating in meetings and work groups.
