Job summary

Qualifications

• Applicants should be undergraduates, graduate students, or recent graduates.
• Strong interest in event management, recreation and tourism management, or related fields.
• Professional customer service skills and attention to detail are expected.

Responsibilities

• Attend event meetings with the Events & Rentals Manager and client to review event details and guidelines.
• Create and maintain timelines, diagrams, layouts, and maps for rentals.
• Communicate timelines, rules, and logistics to vendors and collect necessary certificates.
• Coordinate venue setup and teardown, signage, and crowd flow.
• Assist with risk assessment and emergency coordination as needed.
• Collaborate with Volunteer Program Manager to schedule and coordinate volunteers.
• Maintain a solution-oriented mindset for last-minute changes and guest feedback.
• Serve as an informal garden guide with Arboretum knowledge and DEIB focus.
