Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking motivated Environmental Interns for a paid Summer 2027 program based in Baton Rouge, LA and New Orleans, LA. Interns will work under project managers and engineers, gaining hands-on field and office experience in environmental permitting, surveys, and data collection.

The position is a full-time, summer internship with potential for a full-time role after graduation. Candidates should be juniors or seniors in relevant environmental programs with a 3.0 GPA and

Qualifications

• Excellent data collection, technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Earth.
• Familiarity with GPS and GIS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist on current environmental permitting and compliance projects.
• Assist with wetland delineations, wildlife and plant surveys, and other fieldwork.
• Document research and field investigations, including surveying and data recovery.
• Perform water quality sampling, vegetation mapping, or brownfield fieldwork.
• Support field leads and field deployments, inspections, etc.
• Travel frequently and work long days in hot conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and technologists.
