Job summary

Sachse Construction in Detroit is seeking Construction Management Interns for Summer 2027. The paid internship runs five days a week, eight hours per day, with placements in downtown Detroit or in the field as an Assistant Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture degree.
• Paid summer internship for Summer 2027 in Detroit.
• Experience assisting with cost items and document handling is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist/Input all potential cost items.
• Review, qualify and prepare change orders.
• Process all project costs and invoices.
• Update and prepare committed cost reports (job/client specific).
• Request and obtain pricing for changes (submittals, RFI, bulletins).
• Process submittals and shop drawings.
• Log and track Requests for Information.
• Maintain project documentation and correspondence.
• Assist with start-up and closeout documents.
• Support field operations and enforce safety policies.
