Job summary

Tombras in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Sonic Social Media Intern for 8.5 weeks, paid at $18/hour, from 9/23/26 to 11/20/26, with a maximum of 25 hours per week. You will join the Sonic Automotive Social Media team to set up, track, report on, and analyze campaigns, while contributing to creative brainstorming and content development.

Ideal candidates are seniors or recent grads in Media/Marketing/Advertising with strong communication, a passion for social media, and proficiency in Mac, Google

Qualifications

• Senior in a Bachelor’s program or recent graduate in Media, Marketing, Advertising, or similar field.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for social media and pop culture.
• Social media platform expert across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
• Proficiency in a Mac environment; experience with Google Docs, Google Analytics, Canva, and Adobe Suite.
• Works well as a team player in a flexible, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, track, report on, and analyze social media campaigns.
• Participate in the creative brainstorming process to create engaging content.
• Conduct competitive research to identify opportunities to capitalize on social trends.
• Assist the team with developing calendars and monitoring customer feedback.
• Compile weekly and monthly reports for the team.
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
