Job summary

The Naval Shipyard Institute offers a Paid Trade Skill Training Program consisting of 6 weeks of paid training at Maine Maritime Academy, followed by 8 weeks of paid intensive Trade Theory in Portsmouth, NH. Trainees will be paid $20.00 per hour, with food and housing provided while at MMA.

Cohort #1 starts May 9, 2027 and graduates August 13, 2027. No experience is required; after completing training, trainees become eligible for trades helper roles and apprenticeship programs with defense

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Security Clearance Background Investigation required (Secret level).

Responsibilities
