Job summary

TIME Manufacturing Company in Detroit, MI seeks a Service Technician Intern to work alongside seasoned technicians, gaining hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and shop operations during the summer and when school is not in session.

You will learn hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting, assist with equipment setup, and pursue the Time Manufacturing Service Apprentice Program, with potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited technical college or community college pursuing a degree or certificate in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Automotive Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Mechatronics.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 (optional).
• Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during school breaks (if applicable).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Learn basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Perform shop organization, cleaning, and tool maintenance.
• Assist with equipment setup, washing, and detailing.
• Support parts inventory, staging, and material movement.
