Paid Search & Display Manager (Retail Energy Industry)

Client Location: Houston, TX - REMOTE

Salary/Pay Rate: $70.00-$75.33/hour

Duration: through Dec 2025 (may extend)

Job Description:

Our client's team is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to plan, coordinate, test, and execute digital paid advertising campaigns (primarily Paid Search and Display) for affiliated brands in the East. The Digital Marketing Manager will manage the relationship with a third-party agency and work closely with in-house Digital, Marketing, and Business teams to effectively execute the paid media strategy to drive sales.

  1. Develop and execute a robust paid marketing strategy.
  2. Build, manage, optimize, and report on paid digital advertising campaigns across Search, Display, Video, and Social channels.
  3. Maintain and manage relationships with a third-party agency to execute paid digital strategy.
  4. Maintain targeted campaigns to maximize ROI opportunities and control campaign risks.
  5. Manage campaign launches: keyword and ad copy creation, analytics, and tracking implementation.
  6. Monitor campaign performance against goals, including search terms reports and negative keyword lists.
  7. Manage pacing, budgets, overall platform allocations and offer proactive budget recommendations.
  8. Daily optimization of all campaigns on Cost per Lead, and Monthly/Quarterly optimization on lower funnel KPIs.
  9. Track conversion rates, cost per conversion (CPC), return on ad spend (ROAS), and cost of acquisition (COA) on various ongoing and new digital campaigns.
  10. Identify and recommend opportunities in related channels & advertising platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
  11. Generate performance reports and conduct campaign audits.
  12. Manage, maintain and update internal digital marketing tools (A/B Testing sheet, Audience List tracking, etc.).
  13. Work with other departments to develop campaign tracking codes and parameters.

Working Conditions:

  1. Some overtime required as special projects arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years’ relevant work experience in digital marketing/media, digital advertising.
  2. Firsthand strong expertise in Paid Search/SEM, Display Advertising, and Video Advertising.
  3. Experience working with/managing a third-party agency.
  4. Strong understanding of Paid Social (Facebook/Instagram and LinkedIn, etc.).
  5. Proven organizational skills, project management, and attention to detail.
  6. Experience in planning, creating, implementing, and analyzing marketing strategies and campaigns.
  7. A solid understanding of keyword search, internet metrics, analysis, and ad delivery processes.
  8. The ability to stay up to date on marketing trends and news.
  9. Paid media planning and buying experience on major websites or networks with banner and SEM.
  10. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  11. The ability to work effectively, independently and as a team, including cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Retail Energy Industry experience preferred.
