Job summary

Monks is seeking an Associate Director of Paid Search to lead a growing team in Chicago and manage 1–3 large client relationships, driving KPI improvements and ROI. You will craft strategies, oversee execution, and communicate directly with clients while guiding talent development across the department.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on management of campaigns on Google and Microsoft Ads, with a focus on client performance and business growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of agency Google advertising experience or equivalent
• Experience directly managing large paid search budgets
• Strong numerical, data analysis and Excel skills
• Proven leadership and mentorship abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Paid Search Senior Managers, Account Managers and Analysts
• Oversee paid search across B2B, B2C and DTC ecommerce clients
• Drive KPI improvements and plan/execute campaigns across Google and Microsoft Ads
• Monitor performance data, provide optimization and client reporting
• Conduct regular account reviews and mentor team with feedback and 1-on-1s
