Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation invites applications for a one-year Financial Institution Intern (Risk Management). The program places interns in the Division of Risk Management Supervision and may lead to a Financial Institution Specialist, CG-570-7, with potential promotion to CG-13.

Interns participate in insured financial institution examinations, perform analytical reviews, and contribute to the examination report.

Qualificações

Undergraduate or graduate-level education in Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Commercial or Banking Law, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.

Responsabilidades

Reviews and determines the accuracy of the consolidated Reports of Condition and Income.
Assists in evaluating the adequacy of the insured financial institutions procedures and internal routine and controls.
Performs audit test checks on income and expense accounts and assists in preparing other information for the analysis of earnings.
Computes capital ratios, reconciles capital accounts, and reviews capital activity since the previous examination.
Assists in the review of liquidity including analysis of fluctuations in loans, securities, deposits, and borrowings.
Prepares drafts of schedules, exhibits, and comments for the completed report of examination.
Reviews fixed asset accounts and assesses the adequacy of related insurance coverage; reviews depreciation entries for general ledger and tax purposes.
Assists in reviewing and determining the adequacy of fidelity and other indemnity protections.
