Job summary

Longroad Energy’s Development Intern program in San Francisco offers hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects. You will assist with scheduling, reporting, and data management while working with cross-functional teams.

The paid summer internship targets college juniors entering their senior year, with onboarding and mentoring and opportunities to engage in department-wide activities.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student pursuing a related field.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Interest in Renewable Energy Industry.
• Curiosity and self-motivation.
• Strong written and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Cover letter is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and updates of project schedules and milestones across multiple projects.
• Track permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and development milestones and assist with reporting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly development reports, dashboards, and portfolio summaries.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants for up-to-date project information.
• Maintain project records, data repositories, and development documentation.
• Organize and track mapping requests and spatial data related to projects.
• Assist with materials for permitting, stakeholder meetings, and internal reviews.
• Capture action items from meetings and coordinate follow-up with teams.
• Research and compile information on development activities and local requirements.
• Support process improvements in project management and document control.
• Collaborate with Development, GIS, Engineering, Environmental, Real Estate, and Transmission teams.
