Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or be currently enrolled in a high school or GED program.
• Completion of the Gold Standard classroom training Program within 3 weeks of hire.
• Completion of the Knowledge Assessment and Skills & Technique Validation after completion of Gold Standard Program.

Responsibilities

• Receives training in basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs and pulse oximetry, and ADLs.
• Learns to document tasks, intake/output, and other metrics in O2.
• Maintains a neat, clean patient room and work environment.
• Maintains a safe patient environment including High Fall Risk interventions when needed.
• Receives instruction on hand hygiene, standard precautions, and isolation principles.
• Notifies RN of patient changes in vital signs, mental status, or skin issues promptly.
