Fire Department in Michigan is seeking a paid on-call Fire Fighter to backfill shifts, respond to emergencies, operate pumps and fire apparatus, and perform firefighting and EMS duties.

This role requires training, annual certifications, good health, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions; compensation includes hourly wages ($18.58 starting, up to $22.31), life insurance, and a 6% defined contribution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• State of Michigan Firefighter I and II.
• Emergency Medical Technician – Basic.
• Valid CPAT.
• Must be 18+ at time of employment.
• Valid State driver’s license without record of suspension.
• No felony convictions in past 7 years.
• Must read/write English.

Responsabilités

• Perform firefighting activities including driving fire apparatus, operating pumps and hoses, and extinguishing tasks.
• Provide emergency medical assistance and aid.
• Participate in firefighting, EMS, hazardous materials, and training classes.
• Operate radio and communication equipment.
• Maintain and repair fire equipment and facilities.
• Assist in community safety programs and events.
• Conduct salvage operations and cleanup after incidents.
