Job summary

VHC Health, located in Arlington, Virginia, offers the Spring 2027 New Graduate Nurse Residency, a structured, paid program with a cross-functional preceptorship to ease transition from school to practice.

During the approximately one-year residency, you will develop clinical reasoning, leadership and evidence-based practice skills alongside peers, supported by experienced preceptors and nursing leaders.

Qualifications

• Associate's in Nursing required or Bachelor’s in Nursing required.
• New Graduate: One year of Nursing/Patient Care in an acute care setting.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required or Compact State Licensure in Nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS or PALS may be required per unit policy and will count towards BLS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect total nursing care for assigned patients.
• Supervise assigned personnel on unit.
• Adhere to department and hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain required certifications and competencies per unit requirements.
