Lutheran SeniorLife offers a Nurse Aide Trainee (NAT) program with a $6,000 sign-on bonus paid over the first year. Trainees start as Caregivers, then transition to CNA upon completion of the program and state exam.

Training runs five weeks with these paid sessions, followed by a full-time or part-time CNA role across western Pennsylvania. Classroom and clinical instruction occurs 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with variable Friday shift participation.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of PA State Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent.
• Must pass NA competency test within 120 days of hire.
• Eligibility to sit for PA-approved Nurse Aide Training Program testing if not yet certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in resident care activities in accordance with policies.
• Maintain resident rights, privacy and confidentiality.
• Support preparation and delivery of direct and indirect care, under supervision.
