Job summary

Lutheran SeniorLife in Zelienople, PA is seeking individuals to join as Nurse Aide Trainee (NAT) with a $6,000 sign-on bonus and paid training. You will begin as a Caregiver for at least 3 months in a full-time or part-time role, then enter a state-certified training program with five weeks of paid clinical and classroom instruction during the day, leading to CNA certification.

Qualified applicants will complete PA state NA training, pass the competency exam within 120 days, and gain eligibility

Qualifications

• Completion of the PA State Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent.
• Must take and pass the NA competency test within 120 days from the date of hire.
• Eligibility to sit for PA State approved Nurse Aide Training Program testing within 120 days of employment.
• Working knowledge of computers, Word, Excel and using a touch screen for documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing staff in resident care during NAT program.
• Participate in five weeks of paid classroom and clinical instruction.
• Maintain resident rights, privacy and confidentiality.
• Transition to CNA position after successful completion of program.
