Job summary

Knott County Health & Rehabilitation Center in Kentucky offers a paid Nurse Aide Trainee program to become a State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA). No prior experience or education is required; you will be paid during training and the certification test is paid. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

The program includes 75 hours of online instruction, hands-on clinical training, and mentorship, plus preparation for the Kentucky Board of Nursing Competency Evaluation Examination.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to enter an approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Required to pass state approved competency evaluation within 120 days from the date of hire.
• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Able to lift or move residents and objects weighing over 100 pounds.
• May be required to work holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine nursing care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Provide a safe and dignified environment for residents.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to licensed staff.
• Assist with activities and escort residents to appointments or events.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety and infection control procedures.
