Hands-on training covers rooming patients, obtaining vitals, performing EKGs, and aiding providers in procedures. Participants commit to 16 weeks of in-person coursework and a 100-hour paid internship, plus a 2-year work commitment

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must submit a resume that includes a brief statement explaining why you are interested in becoming a medical assistant.
• Provide 3 references and possess a clear background free of criminal offenses.
