Job summary

Arbour Counseling Services, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, offers a May 2027 paid master’s level internship in mental health. Interns gain experience in in-home family therapy, group therapy, and outpatient treatment across clinic, home, school, or telehealth, under supervision of an independently licensed Director.

The role emphasizes clinical documentation, insurance authorizations, treatment planning, and HIPAA standards, with a flexible schedule and monthly reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a second year Master's level program in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field.
• Ability to complete a nine month long (or longer) internship.
• Valid driver's license and daily access to a working, registered and insured vehicle.
• Access to personal computer and cell phone, reimbursed each month.
• Knowledge of basic computer systems and an understanding of the internet.
• Strong time management skills and organization skills.
• Bilingual encouraged.
• Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation.
• Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation.

Responsibilities

• In-Home Therapy for family, group therapy and outpatient therapy.
• Under supervision of a licensed Director, interns will gain experience in family therapy and leading groups.
• Learn about insurance authorization of services, clinical documentation, diagnosing, and treatment planning.
• Gain knowledge of medications, state agencies and HIPAA standards of care.
• Work across clinic, home, school, and community-based settings or telehealth.
• Support a diverse clinical population alongside an experienced team.
