Job summary

Arbour Counseling Services, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, offers Master’s level internships starting May 2027 for at least 9 months. Internship roles include In-Home Therapy for family, group therapy and outpatient therapy.

Services are provided in the clinic, home, school, other community-based settings or telehealth. Under supervision of an independently licensed Director, interns will gain experience in family therapy, leading groups and outpatient treatment, with exposure to

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a second year Master’s level program in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field (licensure not required but encouraged).
• Ability to complete a nine month long (or longer) internship.
• Valid driver's license and daily access to a working, registered and insured vehicle.
• Access to personal computer and cell phone, reimbursed each month.

Responsibilities

• Provide family therapy, lead groups and/or outpatient treatment under supervision.
• Gain experience with insurance authorization, clinical documentation, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Develop knowledge of medications, safety/risk management and care coordination.
• Support a diverse clinical population across clinic, home, school and telehealth settings.
