Job summary

HGA invites motivated students to join its Lighting Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 in Minneapolis, MN or Milwaukee, WI. The 12-week paid program runs June 1, 2027 through mid-August, with flexibility for some start dates based on school schedules.

You will work on lighting design projects across healthcare, commercial, education, and cultural facilities. Gain experience in technical analysis, calculations, and design documentation while using Revit, AGi32, and related software.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering (with an emphasis in lighting systems), Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline from an accredited program.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in architectural lighting design, daylighting, and lighting integration in built environments.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to a wide range of lighting design projects and responsibilities including technical analysis, calculations, design documentation, and thoughtful design solutions.
• Contribute to projects across healthcare, commercial, education, and cultural facilities.
