Job summary

REA invites landscape architecture students to a paid internship in Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY, with 3-month or 6- to 12-month options. You will work with landscape architects, planners, and civil engineers across stages from master planning to construction documentation.

Duties include assisting with AutoCAD documents, site design drawings, 3D visualizations, quantity take-offs, and client meetings; a capstone project is included to showcase findings and solutions.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Urban Planning or Landscape Architecture.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Exceptional graphic, analysis, and digital production skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, 3-D modeling (3-D Max and/or SketchUp), ArcGIS, or AutoCAD.
• Students entering final year and seeking a six- to twelve-month internship are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with production of AutoCAD construction documents and details.
• Prepare conceptual site design plans, illustrations, and 3D visualizations.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Assist project managers with client meeting materials and presentation boards.
