Job summary

Compeer Financial is seeking a collaborative, innovative intern to join the Corporate Communications team. You will help develop internal content, draft articles, and support communication plans for a rural financial services provider.

Work will include updating calendars, preparing PowerPoint slides, and assisting with photo/video tasks. The role is structured for part-time, hybrid engagement at our Mankato office with learning and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism or Marketing.
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to work with limited guidance.
• Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in photo editing, video production and/or graphic design is preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Update editorial calendars and content for digital message boards.
• Research and draft intranet articles and internal communications.
• Assist team with communication plans and PowerPoint slides.
• Gather metrics and update reports from meetings and transcripts.
• Support photo/video shoots as needed and participate in cross-functional workgroups.
