Job summary

Wellspring Philanthropic Fund seeks an intern to join the Human Resources Team in our Times Square office in New York City. This paid internship is full-time (flexible) by mutual agreement and offers hands-on exposure to HR and recruitment in a busy nonprofit environment.

You will help with posting job descriptions, onboarding logistics, interviews, and general administrative duties while learning how a grantmaking foundation supports social justice and human rights.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with human rights and social justice issues.
• 1–2 years of administrative experience coordinating basic projects, scheduling, and recruitment.
• Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Discretion with confidential information and professional ethics.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and collaborate independently or with others.
• Initiative, creativity, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR with administrative tasks and onboarding logistics.
• Post Wellspring job descriptions externally.
• Set up onboarding itineraries and calendar invitations.
• Organize data reflecting recruitment efforts.
• Prepare Welcome Packets and Internship Folders.
• Participate in interviews for potential hires.
• Support additional HR and administrative duties as needed.
• Assist with office events and decor during holidays.
